Why Functional Nutrition?

If you are wondering what nutrition has to do with your current health concerns, it all comes down to cells. They are the basic unit of life (we're each made up of over 100 trillion cells), and all cell structures and functions are built from or run on nutrients.

When our cells are nutrient deficient, it negatively impacts every system in our body. The role of functional nutrition is to assist people in re-establishing cellular health. Part of this is understanding the warning signs and signals our body gives us every day about underlying dysfunction.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Functional Clinical Assessment (FCA)?

The Functional Clinical Assessment gives us as Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioners the ability to communicate directly with our clients' bodies and understand what they need.

FCA is a valuable biofeedback tool that enables practitioners to determine the necessary nutrients needed to support those organs. An FCA accesses the body's innate ability to discriminate between what it needs, and what it does not need, in order to correct a specific problem, for example, a weak organ or a nutritional deficiency.

How does it work?

I palpate different areas of the body to gain an understanding of what is going on within each body system.
