Lymphatic drainage is a therapeutic massage that uses light pressure and long, gentle, strokes to increase the flow of lymph and reduce toxins in the body.
Lymphatic drainage massage involves a gentle full body, massage on specific areas of your body including the face, to help lymph fluid move to an area with working lymph vessels. This helps to support the body in detoxification, digestion, support for the
immune system, decreasing inflammation by removing extra fluid in the lymph and general wellness support.

Anyone can get lymphatic drainage. The only contraindications for lymphatic massage is if you are suffering from blood infection or lymphoma.

It does depend on the connection you have with your body, but most people feel, and see results straight away.

One hour for face and body, or 45 minutes for just the body. Doing both the face and body is recommended for maximum effect, as blockages can also happen in the face.

While it's great for most people, I cannot perform lymphatic massage on anyone with an acute illness, with cancer or in remission within the last five years, with lymphoma, or with a blood infection.
How often should I get a lymphatic massage?
Ideally every 2-4 weeks. If you've had surgery or suffer from an acute condition, then every 1-2 weeks for best results.
How should I prepare before my massage?
Please remove all makeup, and ensure you're drinking lots of water for long lasting results.
I've just had surgery, is this suited to me?
This gentle massage targets lymphatic drainage reducing swelling, inflammation, pain and aiding the prevention of lymphoedema in the patient.
Pre-surgery, it decongests tissue which may aid surgical incision. Decongested tissue may reduce risk if infection, bruise formation and improve scar resolution.
Post surgery, it aids the drainage of tissue again improving outcomes of healing
How does lymphatic massage compare to a normal relaxation massage?
While a lymphatic massage is still relaxing, it's not a standard deep tissue or relaxation massage. It's designed to work with the lymph system to get rid of fluid and assist the body in healing and removing toxins.
